Mastering Multi-Material Bonding
PES (co‑polyester) hot‑melt adhesive film is a non‑elastic, high‑performance thermoplastic bonding film. Unlike elastic TPU/TPE or rigid PA, PES perfectly balances durability, heat resistance, and versatility.
It remains non‑tacky at room temperature and transforms into a powerful double‑sided adhesive when heated. It delivers excellent wash & dry clean resistance, high thermal stability, and strong adhesion to difficult substrates like polyester, metal, and wood.

The Science of Lamination Bonding
PES hot melt adhesive film utilizes an advanced copolyester molecular structure. Under constant temperature and pressure, the polyester molecular chains melt rapidly, deeply penetrating fabric micro-gaps, metal textures, and porous material surfaces.
Upon natural cooling, the molecules recrystallize to form robust physical interlocking and chemical composite bonding. With a molecular activity significantly stronger than PA and TPU, it is exceptionally suited for demanding applications involving polyester fabrics and metal substrates.
Defect Causes & Solutions
Identify and resolve common issues during the hot-melt lamination process to maintain optimal production quality.
Poor Bonding
Cause: Insufficient temperature, uneven pressure distribution, or the presence of dust and oil on the material surface.
Edge Warping
Cause: Prematurely peeling off the release paper before the material has completely cooled down.
Material Yellowing
Cause: Operating at excessively high temperatures or maintaining holding pressure for too long.
Internal Bubbles
Cause: Lack of proper preheating or excessive humidity present in the raw materials.
Critical Usage Guidelines
Strictly observe these operational constraints to guarantee the integrity and longevity of the adhesive bond.
Do not tear release paper at high temperatures.
Avoid rapid cold wind cooling after hot pressing.
Prohibit stacking heavy objects to prevent deformation.
Long-term direct sunlight reduces bonding activity.
Not suitable for ultra-smooth PTFE isolation materials.
